Rosemary 'Tuscan Blue' 3 1/2" pot
Upright hedge of aromatic pine scent, needle like evergreen foliage. Leaves can be used as an herb for cooking. Rosemary is great on chicken, steaks, and roasted vegetables. This variety is perfect for using as kabobs on the grill.
They will not survive Indiana winters outside. To overwinter rosemary keep it on the dry side, in a cool room, with a sunny window. A unheated enclosed porch is great! If you don't plan on overwintering your rosemary, try drying some for your spice rack.
To dry rosemary simply cut the stems as far down as you feel comfortable. Take several stems tie with a rubber band and hang upside down away from sunlight for 4 weeks. After the four weeks, strip the leaves from the stem into a jar with a lid. Store with your other spices.
These plants are grown in a 3 1/2" pot. They are cuttings taken from this spring.
