Marjoram
Annual, fresh leaves are used to flavor sauces, meats, pastas, fish and beans. Retains its full flavor when dried. Marjoram is in the oregano family so it's low growing like oregano but has a sweeter more floral taste.
This herb and it has quickly become one of my favorites. It's crazy but these leaves smell like men’s cologne, nothing like what you find at the store for dried marjoram. We used in making summer sausage, salami and our bean soups. It has a low growing, spreading growth habit. Making this annual perfect for a ground cover or planted around other taller plants like tomatoes and peppers to create a living mulch. Add it to your flowerpots for a fragrant, edible flowering herb that will cascade over the edges of your pot.
Plants are grown in a 3 1/2" pot.
