Lemongrass
The famous, tropical lemon-flavored herb of Thai cuisine. It has long, slender, pale green stems that are thick and fleshy. We just love the wonderful flavor this herb adds to soups, curries and stir-fries. Lemongrass makes an excellent tea. The tea helps fight free radicals in the body and inflammation.
Lemongrass also makes a great mosquito repellant.
It grows similar to spikes that are used in decorative planters, making it a great plant for containers. It is not hardy here in Indiana and will need to be brought in during the winter months.
