Annual. Vigorous plant with dense spikes of light purple flowers enclosed in showy deep purple bracts, making for an especially fine appearance in pots or in the garden. Heavy fragrance with spicy vanilla overtones that makes a pleasant contribution to both fruit salads and savory dishes. We use this basil for our Vanilla Spice dried tea. The most fragrant basil.

The key to getting a large basil plant is constantly cutting it. Every time you cut a basil stem; two more stems will start to grow in its place. Every year we start with a single stem basil plant and by the time October comes around it looks like a small shrub. So get your scissors out and cut that basil!

Grown in 3 1/2” pot
