Silver Lake, Indiana

The way vegetables are supposed to taste.

Growing Organically in our Backyard

Our farm is located in the small town of Silver Lake, Indiana. We have 2 city lots, about ⅓ of an acre of ground that we farm. Our home sits in the middle of the farm. Other than a small part of yard for our children to play in the rest of our yard that used to be grass is now being farmed for produce production.

We have 3 unheated high tunnels and 1 heated greenhouse in the backyard.  With this added plastic culture our farm is able to grow produce year round to feed our community. We also start all the plants we need on the farm from seeds this is including all the plants we sell in the spring. We start planting seeds in late January and don't stop planting seeds until October for our winter production.

We do save seeds on some of our favorite varieties of vegetables on the farm. Home to the famous  "Larry's Large Red Cherry" tomato.
